Holistic Massage Therapy:

Come as you are, leave as a lighter you

What "holistic" actually means

Holistic simply means ‘whole’; because your needs are for your whole person, not just the part that hurts. When you come for a massage, I don’t just look at that sore shoulder or tight back, I look at everything that’s contributing to your discomfort, physically and emotionally.

Everything in your body is connected in complex ways, including through fascia (the connective tissue that is running through everything).

When one area is in pain, your body often adjusts elswhere to compensate. That’s why I work with your whole body, not just any problem areas.

Tailored to your needs

My idea is to work with you, not on you.

Rather than offering rigid treatment categories, I combine the knowledge and experience I draw from 9 years of training in multiple techniques, including myofascial release, therapeutic massage, hot stones, and more.

I call this bespoke approach “Massage à la Maya”. I adapt to what your body responds to in each session.

My clients often tell me, ‘"You always know exactly where to go", or ‘"How did you know where the pain was?"

I’ve developed a ‘sensitivity of hands’ as a way of listening to the body through touch.

My intention is simple: you leave feeling better in yourself and lighter than when you arrived.

When is holistic massage for me?

Holistic massage can help if you:

  • Want a therapist to look at more than just your symptom
  • Are experiencing discomfort or pain
  • Carry stress and tension
  • Are looking for regular maintenance to stay balanced and pain-free
  • Want support with your self-care
  • Are simply curious
  • Appreciate a holistic approach

You can be of any age for this. (my clients currently range from 11-91)

Many clients return for regular treatment and tell me that as a result of the whole-person approach they no longer regress to the tightness they carried before their first visit.
